If there is no leak: continue with troubleshooting no hot water.

1) Check the electrical panel to see if the circuit for the water heater has tripped. If the circuit breaker has not tripped, the internal Reset of the water heater may have tripped and may need to be reset.

2) Electric Water Heater Reset:

i) Turn off the circuit breaker.

ii) Remove the top access panel.

iii) Carefully push the red reset button and listen for a "click". The reset button will only "click" if it has been tripped and will only "click" the first time it is pushed to reset. It will not "click" again if you push it again.

iv) Turn the circuit breaker back on.

After resetting your water heater, it may be a short or long amount of time before the reset trips again. It may be immediately, a few days or months, or it may never trip again.

If your water heater continues to not work properly, Please call us.

If there is no leak: continue with troubleshooting no hot water

1) Remove the cover panel at the bottom of the water heater. Look through the window to see if there is a Pilot light which will look like a small candle flame.

2) If there is no pilot flame, follow the instructions on the front of the heater to light the pilot flame. Cycle the igniter and look for the spark, this is where you will look as you follow the lighting procedure to see if you can light the pilot flame.

3) Occasionally there is a small red pin which is an electronic reset. It will be on the side of the tank usually near the window that you look through for the pilot flame. Push this to make sure it is not tripped.

4) After a few attempts, if you cannot relight the pilot flame, Please give us a call and we can take over with any further diagnosis or repair.
